## Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled **Consultant Periodontist** to provide comprehensive periodontal and implant-related care for patients with periodontal and peri-implant diseases.

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosis, treatment planning, surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapy, management of complex periodontal conditions, and collaboration with general dentists and other dental specialists to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.

-   Diagnose and manage peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis.
-   Provide periodontal assessment and treatment planning for patients requiring dental implants.
-   Collaborate with implantologists, prosthodontists, orthodontists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, endodontists, and general dentists.
-   Evaluate periodontal status before and during orthodontic, prosthetic, restorative, and implant treatment.
-   Manage medically compromised patients requiring specialized periodontal care.
-   Assess and manage patients with complex periodontal conditions.
-   Review and interpret dental radiographs, CBCT, photographs, and relevant laboratory investigations.
-   Provide appropriate patient education regarding oral hygiene, periodontal disease prevention, smoking cessation, and maintenance therapy.
-   Explain treatment options, risks, benefits, expected outcomes, and alternatives to patients.
-   Provide postoperative care and monitor healing and treatment outcomes.
-   Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
-   Follow infection-control, sterilization, patient-safety, and clinical governance standards.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, clinical audits, and quality-improvement initiatives.
-   Support the training and mentoring of dentists and junior dental staff where applicable.
-   Participate in CME/CPD activities and maintain current professional knowledge.

## Requirements

-   BDS, DDS, DMD, or equivalent recognized dental degree.
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in **Periodontology / Periodontics**.
-   Appropriate specialist/consultant-level qualification recognized by the applicable UAE healthcare authority.
-   Current UAE professional license or eligibility for Consultant licensing.
-   Valid BLS certification where required by the facility.
