## Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented, bilingual Insurance Verification / Authorization Specialist to support a medical practice. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience verifying U.S. health insurance, obtaining prior authorizations, and coordinating peer-to-peer reviews, alongside strong skills in patient scheduling, provider communications, and handling high-volume daily tasks with confidence.

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Perform comprehensive insurance coverage verifications and secure prior authorizations in a timely manner.
-   Contact insurance carriers directly via phone and coordinate peer-to-peer clinical review processes as needed.
-   Schedule patient appointments accurately while delivering professional customer service.
-   Communicate clearly, directly, and fearlessly with healthcare providers, clinical staff, and insurance representatives.
-   Manage phone/text communications, internal team messaging, and fax processing across cloud-based platforms.
-   Adapt smoothly to shifting workloads and flexible schedules, including occasional 8–10 hour workdays.

## Requirements

**Requirements:**

-   Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (clear verbal pronunciation, strong conversational fluency, and professional written text communication are strictly required).
-   Proven background in verifying U.S. health insurance and securing prior authorizations.
-   Direct experience contacting insurance providers and coordinating peer-to-peer reviews.
-   Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence to speak directly to medical providers; strong problem-solving abilities and a fast-learning mindset.

Please note that this is a full-time contractor position (40 hours per week) with a pay rate of $6/7 per hour.
