**Wage**

Starting at **$23.19-$28.73/hour** (per prevailing wage)

_Wages will be paid in accordance with applicable Navajo Nation Prevailing Wage Rates._

**Job Summary**

We are seeking an Equipment Operator to support our construction operations. Duties include the safe and effective operation of light to heavy construction equipment, such as excavators, backhoes, blades, dozers & loaders. At least 5 years’ experience in the operation and daily maintenance of such equipment is preferred. Must possess a serious attitude toward work, be dependable and work well with others in a production-oriented team environment.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

-   Operates a variety of construction equipment, including excavators, backhoes, dozers, blades, and loaders
-   Perform precise excavation and grading work, including work around existing underground utilities
-   Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure safe operation
-   Follow all safety procedures and job site regulations
-   Coordinate with crew members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
-   Maintain awareness of surroundings to ensure safe operation in active job sites
-   Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly
-   Perform other duties as assigned

## Requirements

-   Driver’s License preferred; Must be valid state issued
-   Must comply with all site safety requirements
-   Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening

**Minimum Qualifications**

-   Heavy equipment operation experience
-   Basic Mechanical Knowledge
-   Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor conditions
-   Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
