€50,000–€60,000 per year | Permanent, full-time | 40 hours per week | County Meath

Select Ambition is recruiting a Senior Practice Accountant for a confidential accountancy practice in County Meath. This position offers ownership of a varied SME client portfolio, regular contact with business owners and scope to contribute beyond routine compliance work.

You will prepare and review year-end financial statements under Irish GAAP and FRS 102 Section 1A, manage corporation and income tax assignments, support statutory audit work and produce management accounts, cash-flow information and practical commercial analysis.

As a trusted client contact, you will advise on budgeting, cash flow, controls, systems and business structures within your professional expertise. You will plan assignments, maintain accurate review-ready files and help ensure client and Revenue deadlines are met.

The role also involves reviewing work completed by trainees, bookkeepers and junior colleagues. There is scope to improve internal processes, identify appropriate advisory opportunities and develop towards broader portfolio and practice leadership.

This is a 40-hour working week. The role is based in County Meath, with the possibility of working from home for up to two days per week for the right person. All applications will be handled in confidence.

## Requirements

Essential

\- Strong experience in an Irish or UK accountancy practice.

\- A recognised accountancy qualification or substantial relevant accountancy-practice experience.

\- Working knowledge of Irish GAAP, FRS 102 Section 1A, Companies Act requirements and Revenue compliance.

\- Experience preparing or reviewing year-end accounts and tax-compliance work.

\- Confidence managing several client assignments and deadlines.

\- Strong client-facing communication and sound professional judgement.

\- Availability for a 40-hour week and attendance at the County Meath office as required.

Preferred

\- Management accounts, cash-flow or practical business-advisory experience.

\- Experience supporting statutory audit assignments.

\- Experience reviewing or coaching junior colleagues.

\- Tax experience, current tax studies or interest in undertaking tax examinations.
