## Description

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled **Application Support Specialist** with hands-on experience in **Open Finance/Open Banking APIs** to join our client's technology team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting business-critical applications, monitoring API integrations, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of Open Finance solutions within the insurance ecosystem.

The role requires strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, experience working with REST APIs, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents and maintain high service availability.

## Requirements

### **Key Responsibilities**

-   Provide Level 2/Application Support for business-critical applications.
-   Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve application and API-related incidents.
-   Support Open Finance/Open Banking API integrations and third-party connectivity.
-   Investigate production issues using application logs, API responses, and monitoring tools.
-   Analyze API requests/responses using tools such as Postman or Swagger.
-   Work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve technical issues.
-   Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
-   Monitor application performance and ensure system availability in line with SLAs.
-   Support application deployments, releases, and production changes.
-   Maintain incident documentation, knowledge base articles, and operational procedures.
-   Coordinate with external vendors and partners for issue resolution when required.
-   Participate in on-call support and production support activities as needed.

### **Required Skills & Experience**

-   3–5 years of experience in Application Support, Production Support, or API Support.
-   Hands-on experience supporting **Open Finance/Open Banking** platforms or API-driven applications.
-   Strong understanding of **REST APIs**, JSON, HTTP methods, authentication (OAuth 2.0, JWT), and API lifecycle.
-   Experience with API testing tools such as **Postman** and **Swagger/OpenAPI**.
-   Good knowledge of SQL for data validation and troubleshooting.
-   Familiarity with Linux/Unix commands for log analysis.
-   Experience monitoring application logs and resolving production incidents.
-   Understanding of API gateways and integration concepts.
-   Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
-   Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

### **Preferred Skills**

-   Experience in the **Insurance**, Banking, FinTech, or Financial Services domain.
-   Knowledge of Open Finance/Open Banking standards and ecosystem.
-   Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.
-   Experience working in ITIL-based support environments.
-   Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an advantage.

### **Education**

-   Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
