As a Cyber Security Consultant, you will help organisations strengthen their security posture, reduce risk and improve cyber resilience through trusted advisory and consulting services. 

Working with customers across a range of industries, you will deliver cyber security assessments, provide strategic guidance, support security governance initiatives and act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders ranging from technical teams through to executive leadership. 

You will play a key role in helping customers understand their current cyber maturity, develop practical improvement plans and implement security best practices that align with recognised industry frameworks and business objectives. Your expertise will contribute to the continued growth of Sword's cyber consulting capabilities while supporting customers in protecting critical systems, services and information assets.

## Requirements

-   Demonstrable experience conducting cyber security maturity assessments and best-practice reviews. 

-   Strong understanding of recognised security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials. 

-   Experience developing cyber security strategies, governance frameworks or information security programmes. 

-   Ability to provide credible cyber security advice to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

-   Experience working across security architecture, cyber engineering, incident response or closely related cyber security disciplines. 

-   Strong understanding of information security controls, risk management and security governance principles. 

-   Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders from engineering teams through to C-suite leadership. 

-   Proven ability to build trusted customer relationships and deliver high-quality consultancy services. 

-   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex security challenges and recommend practical solutions. 

-   Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with evolving cyber threats and technologies. 

-    Experience in a cyber security architecture, senior engineering or incident response role. 

-   Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, C-CISO, CISA or equivalent industry-recognised accreditation. 

-   Experience delivering virtual CISO (vCISO) services. 

-   Experience supporting customers operating within Critical National Infrastructure environments. 

-   Exposure to security operations, managed security services or governance, risk and compliance programmes. 

-   Experience supporting pre-sales engagements, customer workshops and solution development activities. 

-   Previous consulting or professional services experience within a customer-facing environment.
