## Description

We are looking for an experienced **BIM Modeler / Electrical Detailer** to support commercial electrical construction projects through **3D modeling, detailing, coordination, and field installation planning**.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience developing electrical models for commercial construction and is highly proficient in **Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks**. This position will bridge the gap between design and field execution, working with project management, estimating, engineering, BIM/VDC, and field teams to create accurate models and installation-ready drawings.

Key Responsibilities

-   Develop and maintain detailed BIM models for commercial electrical projects.
-   Model conduit, cable tray, electrical equipment, supports, sleeves, and related systems.
-   Produce shop drawings, coordination drawings, installation layouts, and prefabrication packages.
-   Perform clash detection and coordinate electrical systems with structural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and architectural trades.
-   Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents for design conflicts and constructability concerns.
-   Participate in BIM/VDC coordination meetings and implement approved design changes, RFIs, and field updates.
-   Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Estimators, Superintendents, Foremen, and other project stakeholders.
-   Create accurate, field-ready drawings and models for installation and prefabrication.
-   Support field teams by providing BIM, layout, and drawing assistance throughout construction.
-   Update models throughout the project and assist with as-built documentation.
-   Identify coordination issues early and help develop practical solutions that improve installation efficiency.
-   Maintain BIM deliverables in accordance with project requirements and company standards.

## Requirements

-   **3+ years of experience as a BIM Modeler, Electrical Detailer, VDC Designer, or similar position.**
-   **Commercial electrical construction experience is required.**
-   Demonstrated experience modeling electrical systems for commercial construction.
-   Advanced proficiency with **Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks**.
-   Strong understanding of electrical construction, including conduit routing, cable tray, equipment, supports, and installation methods.
-   Experience with BIM/VDC coordination, clash detection, and multi-trade coordination.
-   Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
-   Strong understanding of constructability and field installation requirements.
-   Ability to convert design intent into accurate, practical, installation-ready models.
-   Strong attention to detail and commitment to model and drawing accuracy.
-   Effective communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
-   Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in BIM, drafting, electrical design, or a related discipline preferred.
