## Description

### **About the Role**

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented **Drafter** to support residential and commercial design projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical drafting skills, a solid understanding of construction documents, and hands-on experience using **Chief Architect** (preferred).

The Drafter will work closely with architects, designers, and project teams to produce accurate, code-compliant drawings and revisions throughout the design and permitting process.

### **Key Responsibilities**

-   Create and revise **construction drawings** for residential and commercial projects
-   Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, and details
-   Translate design concepts, markups, and redlines into accurate drawings
-   Ensure drawings comply with applicable building codes and standards
-   Coordinate updates and revisions throughout project lifecycles
-   Maintain organized drawing sets and version control
-   Collaborate with internal teams to meet project timelines

### **Qualifications**

-   Proven experience as a **Drafter** in residential and/or commercial projects
-   **Chief Architect experience preferred** (or similar drafting software)
-   Strong understanding of construction documentation and drafting standards
-   Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
-   Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
-   Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
-   Comfortable working independently in a remote or hybrid environment

### **Preferred Skills**

-   Experience with permitting and plan submission processes
-   Familiarity with other drafting tools (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.)
-   Knowledge of residential and commercial building systems

## Requirements

This is a full time role
