## Description

**Job Title:** Estimator

**Location:** Remote (South Africa)

**Job Type:** Full-Time

**Working Hours:** US Hours (9am - 5pm EST)

**Salary:** Paid in South African Rands (ZAR)

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate flooring estimates
-   Perform quantity take-offs and cost calculations for labor, materials, and project-related expenses
-   Prepare and submit competitive proposals and quotations within required deadlines
-   Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing and product information
-   Collaborate with sales, project management, and operations teams to ensure accurate project scope and pricing
-   Maintain and update estimating databases and pricing records
-   Track bid statuses and assist with follow-up communication as needed
-   Ensure all estimates align with company standards, budgets, and client requirements
-   Identify potential risks, discrepancies, or cost-saving opportunities within project plans

## Requirements

-   Previous experience as an Estimator within the flooring, construction, or related industry
-   Strong understanding of flooring materials, installation processes, and project costing
-   Proficiency in estimating and CRM software, including Stack, Callidus, and PlanSwift
-   Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
-   Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
-   Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
-   Effective written and verbal communication skills
-   Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously
-   Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
