## Description

We are looking for an experienced **Senior Software Engineer – Base24-eps Switch Developer** to join a high-performing payments engineering team supporting enterprise banking and financial platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in **Base24-eps payment switch development**, real-time transaction processing, and HP NonStop/Tandem environments.

This role involves designing, enhancing, optimizing, and supporting mission-critical payment switch systems operating in highly available production environments.

## Requirements

### Key Responsibilities

-   Design, develop, and maintain **Base24-eps** payment switch applications and interfaces.
-   Implement and support **ISO8583, EMV, POS, and ATM transaction flows**.
-   Develop solutions using:

-   TACL
-   TAL
-   SCOBOL
-   COBOL
-   C/C++

-   Troubleshoot production issues and provide permanent resolutions.
-   Perform performance tuning, system optimization, and capacity planning.
-   Support platform upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
-   Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams for smooth production releases.
-   Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and audit standards.

### Required Skills & Experience

-   5–12 years of experience in **Base24-eps development and support**.
-   Strong expertise in **HP NonStop/Tandem systems**.
-   Deep understanding of:

-   ISO8583
-   EMV
-   POS/ATM transaction processing
-   Payment switching systems

-   Experience integrating with:

-   Card schemes
-   Host banking systems
-   Third-party payment processors

-   Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and production support skills.
-   Experience with performance tuning and high-availability systems.
-   Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
-   Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

### Preferred Skills

-   Experience with **Base24 Classic** or other payment switch platforms.
-   Exposure to:

-   HSMs
-   Tokenization
-   Fraud detection systems
-   Risk engines

-   Knowledge of cloud-based payment architectures.
-   Prior experience working with banking or financial services clients is preferred.

**Suitable candidates with strong Base24-eps and Tandem experience are highly preferred.**
