**The Opportunity**

Trócaire is recruiting 2 x International Accountant – Roving to provide flexible operational finance support across our country programmes and global finance function. This is a varied and practical role, supporting country teams during staffing gaps, periods of increased operational pressure, humanitarian responses, key projects and assurance reviews. The postholder will help strengthen day-to-day finance operations, financial reporting, budgeting, donor compliance, internal controls and audit follow-up, while also identifying financial risks and working with colleagues to agree practical solutions. Working closely with HQ and country teams, this role will make an important contribution to strong financial stewardship, accountability and effective programme delivery across Trócaire’s international work. You will report to the International Finance Team Manager,The job opportunity will be offered on a full-time fixed term contract for 2 years and is based in Maynooth, Nairobi or Harare with regular overseas travel required.

## Requirements

**Role Requirements**

The successful candidate will be a qualified Chartered or Certified Accountant with strong experience in financial management, internal controls, risk management and financial reporting. They will bring the ability to analyse complex financial information, identify risks or weaknesses, and work with colleagues to agree practical and proportionate solutions. This role requires someone who can provide clear technical advice and operational support to country teams, often in changing or pressured contexts, and who is confident working across cultures and building trusted relationships with finance and programme colleagues. Strong communication, judgement, problem-solving skills and flexibility are essential, along with the ability to travel regularly and adapt to different country programme needs. The candidate should also bring integrity, resilience, a collaborative approach and a strong commitment to Trócaire’s ethos and values.
