**Tech Lead/CTO**

We’re hiring a Tech Lead / CTO-type profile to join a fast-growing startup in Amsterdam, taking ownership of a small but rapidly scaling engineering team.

  

You’ll be joining at a pivotal stage where the product is gaining traction and the team is expanding quickly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing hands-on engineering with leadership, and wants to shape both the technical direction and the way the team operates.

  

**What you’ll be doing:**

-   Leading and mentoring a growing team of engineers, setting standards for quality and delivery
-   Driving architecture decisions across a modern, scalable stack
-   Introducing structure, processes, and best practices as the team scales
-   Remaining hands-on where needed, contributing to backend and system design
-   Collaborating closely with product and leadership to align technical and business goals.

  

**Tech stack**

-   Python, FastAPI
-   React, TypeScript
-   Docker, AWS

  

**What we’re looking for;**

-   Experience leading or stepping into a Tech Lead / CTO-style role in a startup or scale-up
-   Strong backend engineering background (Python ideally) with exposure to modern frontend frameworks
-   Proven ability to implement processes and improve engineering maturity
-   Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
-   Strong communicator who can bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders
