- **Location:** North London Recycling Centres (various sites)

**About LondonEnergy**

At LondonEnergy, we’re proud of our vital role in managing North London’s waste and protecting the environment. As part of the team, you’ll already know that we handle and process 750,000 tonnes of waste each year, making us the second largest waste contract in the UK.

By processing household waste at our facility, we produce enough waste from energy to power 80,000 homes every year and recycle 70% of items through our Reuse and Recycling Centres.

**About the role**

We are seeking a RRC Contract Manager to join our team at LondonEnergy. In this role, you will manage the overall operation of four Recycling Centres (RRCs) across North London, working closely with the other Contracts Manager to deliver high-performing, safe, and compliant sites.

You will provide strong leadership to a team of approximately 30 people, including Area and Site Supervisors, while maintaining excellent Health & Safety standards, meeting contract KPIs, managing budgets, and ensuring outstanding service to the public. This is a hands-on operational management role that requires someone who thrives in a live environment, responds quickly to issues, and is passionate about safety, team development, and continuous improvement.

LondonEnergy operates an open and collaborative culture, offering exposure across the organisation and opportunities to contribute to cross-functional discussions that drive successful project outcomes.

**Responsibilities:**

- Lead Health & Safety performance across four RRC sites, promoting a strong safety culture through regular inspections, incident reviews, and training.
- Manage and develop a team of ~30 people, providing direction to Area and Site Supervisors on staffing, performance, absence, and employee relations.
- Ensure full compliance with environmental permits, legislation, and company standards (including maintaining or working towards COTC).
- Deliver against contract KPIs and budgets for the North London Waste Authority contract.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the client, waste off-takers, suppliers, and members of the public.
- Respond rapidly and effectively to customer complaints and operational issues.
- Drive operational efficiency, business improvement initiatives, and increased recycling/reuse rates.
- Oversee site maintenance, contractor management, and day-to-day running of the centres.
- Conduct regular site visits and maintain high standards of operational resilience.

- IOSH qualification (or equivalent Health & Safety qualification)

- Experience in waste management, construction, rail, retail, or other operational multi-site environments
- Demonstrated people leadership and stakeholder management skills
