In this role, you will help keep Azure data platforms secure, stable, and high-performing, with a strong focus on automation, operational excellence, and service reliability. This position is suited to an engineer who enjoys working across platform, infrastructure, and data environments while partnering closely with developers and engineering teams to improve performance and resolve issues effectively.

### Responsibilities

-   Administer, secure, and optimize Azure data services across Development, Test, Pre-production, and Production environments, including Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Cosmos DB, ADLS Gen2, Event Hub, Key Vault, Function Apps, Logic Apps, and App Services.
-   Provision and manage Azure infrastructure using Terraform and ARM templates, including VNets, subnets, service endpoints, and private endpoints.
-   Operate containerized workloads with Docker and AKS.
-   Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
-   Design backup, disaster recovery, and failover solutions for critical workloads.
-   Schedule and monitor job flows, troubleshoot failed Databricks and Data Factory jobs, and implement root-cause fixes.
-   Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and Jenkins.
-   Automate provisioning, scaling, and operations using Python and shell scripts.
-   Monitor VM resources and logs, plan Azure capacity, and advise developers on job and workflow performance improvements.

## Requirements

### Requirements

-   5+ years of hands-on experience administering Azure data platforms for data workloads, including Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Cosmos DB and Event Hub, plus Terraform-based infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
-   Hands-on experience administering Azure platform and data engineering services.
-   Experience with distributed systems and streaming tools such as Event Hub.
-   Strong Terraform and ARM template skills.
-   Experience with Docker and AKS.
-   Automation skills in Python and shell scripting, plus Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
-   Experience designing Azure CI/CD pipelines.
-   Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
-   Knowledge of agile delivery.
-   Experience working closely with developers and data engineers to improve the performance of jobs and pipelines, troubleshoot failed workloads, and collaborate with platform, infrastructure, and DevOps teams.
-   Based in Jordan.
-   Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is a plus.
-   Experience supporting enterprise data platforms in multi-environment setups, including Development, Test, Pre-production, and Production, is a plus.
-   Experience in regulated environments such as banking, healthcare, insurance, or telecom is a plus.
-   Experience in offshore delivery or managed services teams is a plus.
-   Experience supporting client-facing or managed-service environments is a plus.
-   Knowledge of Tableau and Power BI is a plus.
-   Experience with other cloud platforms beyond Azure is a plus.
