### **We're Hiring | Consultant Interventional Cardiologist – Abu Dhabi, UAE**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Consultant Interventional Cardiologist** to join a leading healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive cardiovascular care with expertise in diagnostic and interventional cardiology, delivering advanced, evidence-based treatment while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.

### **Key Responsibilities**

-   Diagnose, evaluate, and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular diseases.
-   Perform diagnostic coronary angiography and a wide range of interventional cardiac procedures, including Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), angioplasty, and coronary stenting.
-   Manage patients presenting with acute coronary syndromes (ACS), myocardial infarction, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, hypertension, and other complex cardiovascular conditions.
-   Interpret ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitoring, cardiac CT, and other non-invasive cardiac investigations.
-   Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology consultations.
-   Participate in emergency cardiac services, including primary PCI and STEMI call coverage, as per departmental requirements.
-   Collaborate closely with Cardiothoracic Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Vascular Surgery, Radiology, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
-   Develop individualized treatment plans and ensure comprehensive follow-up care.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and Continuing Medical Education (CME).
-   Supervise and mentor junior physicians, fellows, residents, and allied healthcare professionals.
-   Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and clinical governance standards.

## Requirements

### **Qualifications & Requirements**

-   MBBS/MD with a postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine and Cardiology (DM, CCT, FRCP, American Board, Canadian Board, Arab Board, or equivalent).
-   Fellowship or advanced training in **Interventional Cardiology** from a recognized institution.
-   Board Certification or equivalent recognized Consultant qualification in Cardiology.
-   Minimum **5–10 years of post-specialization experience** at the Consultant level, including significant experience in interventional cardiology.
-   Eligibility for or possession of a **Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi Consultant License**. Candidates eligible for licensing are also encouraged to apply.
-   Strong expertise in coronary interventions, cardiac catheterization, complex PCI, and the management of cardiovascular emergencies.
-   Excellent communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills.
-   Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered, evidence-based care.

### **Preferred Candidate Profile**

-   **PQR Tier 1 and Tier 2 qualified professionals will be given preference.**
-   Experience working in **internationally accredited hospitals** is highly desirable.
-   Candidates with clinical experience in **DOH (Abu Dhabi), DHA (Dubai), or MOHAP (Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, and Umm Al Quwain)** licensed healthcare facilities are highly preferred. GCC experience is an added advantage.
-   Fellowship training or additional expertise in **Structural Heart Interventions, Complex PCI, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), Peripheral Vascular Interventions, Intravascular Imaging (IVUS/OCT), or Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) interventions** is an added advantage.
-   Experience in high-volume cardiac catheterization laboratories and tertiary care cardiac centers is preferred.
-   Active participation in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and medical education is highly desirable.
