## Description

Reporting to the Director, Operations, the Manager, Materials drives Blackline Safety’s Materials team to world class performance in all aspects of planning, sustaining procurement, inventory control, and material handling.

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Direct inventory control, procurement, receiving, and material handling operations.
-   Manage production planning and scheduling based on demand forecasts.
-   Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer delivery timelines.
-   Strategically plan material capacity and layout for 3x growth over 3 years, recommending capital equipment and storage solutions with ROI analysis.
-   Implement MRP functionality within Blackline's NetSuite ERP system.
-   Consolidate multiple inventory systems (NetSuite, ASM Material Manager, Line Manager).
-   Collaborate with global distribution centers to set min/max levels and meet lead times.
-   Configure location-based put-away functionality in ERP system.
-   Integrate future material management systems (carousels, smart racking) with ERP and SMT software.
-   Define and communicate KPI metrics for Materials team performance.
-   Provide real-time build availability status and new product implementation timelines.
-   Review, design, and implement SMT kitting process improvements, including capital equipment investments.
-   Optimize SMT component consignment programs to ensure stock availability.
-   Partner with procurement to right-size inbound shipments for quantity and packaging efficiency.

**About You**  

-   Minimum 5 years' of operations experience, ideally 5 years of leadership experience
-   Post-Secondary certification in Supply Chain Management, Business Operations, or other applicable area preferred
-   APICS, SCMP, or PMAC certification (or in the process of acquiring) is an asset
-   Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP system, including setup, configuration, data migration, reporting, and workflow customization to support financial, operational, or CRM processes
-   Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information to stakeholders
-   Superior organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accurate data management, process documentation, and flawless execution of multiple concurrent responsibilities
-   Proven time management skills with a strong track record of meeting deadlines under pressure, effectively balancing competing priorities while maintaining high-quality deliverables
-   Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks strategically and delegate appropriately to team members, optimizing resource allocation and ensuring timely project completion
-   Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
