## Description

### What You'll Do

As the Utilities Segment Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing the growth strategy for the Water & Power sector across Africa. You will work closely with utility operators, government entities, regulators, and strategic partners to identify opportunities, build long-term relationships, and deliver impactful solutions.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Develop and execute the business growth strategy for the Water & Power utilities segment across Africa.
-   Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities with utility companies, ministries, regulators, and public-sector stakeholders.
-   Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key decision-makers across the utilities ecosystem.
-   Lead commercial activities, including opportunity management, proposal development, negotiations, and contract closure.
-   Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to design solutions that address client challenges and business objectives.
-   Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and regulatory developments to identify growth opportunities.
-   Represent Advansys at industry conferences, exhibitions, and client engagements across the region.
-   Drive revenue growth, pipeline development, and segment performance reporting.
-   Contribute to strategic partnerships and alliances that strengthen the company's presence within the utilities sector.

## Requirements

-   8+ years of experience in business development, account management, sales leadership, or sector management within the Utilities, Water, Power, Energy, or Infrastructure industries.
-   Proven success in developing business opportunities and managing strategic client relationships.
-   Strong understanding of utility operations, digital transformation initiatives, smart infrastructure, or enterprise technology solutions for the utilities sector.
-   Existing network within utility companies, government organizations, regulators, or infrastructure stakeholders across Africa is highly preferred.
-   Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
-   Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
-   Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
-   MBA or postgraduate qualification is a plus.
-   Fluency in English is required.
-   Willingness to travel across Africa as business needs require.
