## Description

**Looking for Philippines-based candidates**

**Job Role:** Performance Marketing Manager

**Compensation range:** $2000 - $3000 AUD / Monthly

**Engagement type:** Independent Contractor Agreement

**Work Schedule:** This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

**Who We Are:** At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote, so you'll be able to work from home.

**Who The Client Is:** Our client is a fast-growing Australian business in the renewable energy and electrical services space, helping residential and commercial customers reduce energy costs through smart solar and energy solutions. Operating in a regional Australian market, the company has built a strong reputation through high-quality workmanship, word-of-mouth referrals, and long-term customer trust.

They are now entering an exciting growth phase, bringing marketing further in-house, expanding their digital presence, and investing heavily in lead generation through Google Ads, SEO, and performance marketing. The leadership team is highly collaborative, commercially minded, and looking for someone proactive who can genuinely take ownership of the marketing function rather than simply execute tasks.

This is an opportunity to work directly with decision-makers in a business that values autonomy, initiative, and measurable results.

**Role Overview:** We’re looking for a highly capable Performance / Digital Marketing Manager with strong hands-on Google Ads expertise to lead and optimise the client’s digital marketing efforts.

This is a performance-first role where paid search is the highest priority. The ideal candidate is someone who has independently managed marketing campaigns, understands how to generate qualified leads through Google Ads and SEO, and can confidently make strategic recommendations without requiring constant direction.

You’ll work closely with the leadership team to improve campaign performance, strengthen the company’s online presence, support SEO initiatives during a domain migration, and identify growth opportunities across paid and organic channels.

This role is best suited for someone analytical, commercially aware, proactive, and experienced working with Australian or Western businesses.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Own and manage Google Ads campaigns targeting residential and commercial audiences across regional Australia
- Build, optimise, and scale paid search campaigns, including keyword strategy, bidding, audience targeting, ad structure, and conversion tracking
- Improve campaign performance through continuous optimisation of CTR, CPC, Quality Scores, conversion rates, and lead quality
- Lead SEO initiatives, including on-page optimisation, keyword research, technical SEO improvements, and content recommendations
- Support the business through a website domain migration while helping preserve SEO rankings and search visibility
- Update and manage website content, landing pages, images, and copy through WordPress
- Assist with the rollout and optimisation of Meta advertising campaigns as a secondary growth channel
- Analyse campaign and lead data to provide actionable insights and performance recommendations
- Prepare regular reporting on marketing performance, lead generation, and ROI
- Collaborate with the team to improve customer messaging, targeting strategies, and conversion opportunities
- Review and improve email marketing deliverability and existing customer communication flows
- Use AI tools and automation where appropriate to improve efficiency across reporting, research, and content workflows
- Bring new ideas proactively and confidently recommend improvements across marketing, advertising, and digital strategy

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

- 3–5+ years of experience in Performance Marketing or Digital Marketing
- Strong hands-on Google Ads experience is non-negotiable
- Proven experience building and optimising paid search campaigns from the ground up
- Solid understanding of conversion tracking, bidding strategies, keyword planning, and campaign structure
- Strong SEO knowledge, including on-page optimisation, technical SEO fundamentals, and keyword research
- Experience using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar platforms
- Comfortable managing and updating websites through WordPress
- Ability to interpret campaign data and make data-driven decisions independently
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Experience working with Australian, Western, or international businesses preferred
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of outcomes
- Familiarity with AI tools for research, reporting, workflow optimisation, or content support
- Meta Ads experience is beneficial, but not the primary focus of the role

**Nice to Have**

- Experience handling website domain migrations while maintaining SEO performance
- Familiarity with Zoho CRM, HubSpot, or similar CRM platforms
- Experience within solar, energy, trades, construction, home services, or similar industries
- Canva or basic creative design experience
- Basic video editing skills for social media content
- Understanding of regional or conservative Australian consumer audiences

**Technical Assessment Process**

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a practical technical assessment as part of the hiring process.

This assessment is designed to evaluate strategic thinking, technical execution, and understanding of audience psychology, not just platform familiarity.

**Work Arrangement & Expectations:**

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.

To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:

- Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
- Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor”)
