**Purpose of the role**

You'll be joining our **AI & R&D team,** where we rapidly explore, prototype, and validate new ideas that create real business value. Reporting to the Software Engineering Manager, you'll design and build proof-of-concepts, prototypes, and production-ready solutions using modern AI technologies, including agentic LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), fine-tuning, and AI-powered automation.

As a senior engineer, you'll combine strong software engineering fundamentals with a pragmatic, experimental mindset. You'll be responsible for developing scalable and maintainable solutions, driving code quality, making sound architectural decisions, and identifying the most effective approaches to solving complex technical challenges. You'll help the team move quickly without compromising reliability, continuously improving development practices, automation, and technical standards as we transform innovative concepts into impactful products.

**What you’ll do**

• Hands on software engineering in C# (.net 10) and python (3.13+)

• Contribute to Software design for experimental projects (R&D)

• Push for continuous improvement of the code base

• Ensure a high level of code quality, and taking responsibility / accountability for the code released to production

• Collaborate with software and AI engineers to design and implement AI-driven proof-of-concept projects.

• Build, test, and iterate prototypes to validate new approaches and technologies.

• Experiment with LLM-based solutions (e.g., RAG pipelines, prompt orchestration, agentic workflows)

• Support data preparation, model fine-tuning, and evaluation processes

• Contribute to transforming validated prototypes into scalable, production-ready systems

## Requirements

Atleast 4 years of professional software engineering experience, with **strong proficiency in Python** and some working experience with **C#**

•Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices (SOLID, Clean Code, testing, maintainability, etc.)

•Experience designing and building scalable, maintainable, and reliable software systems

•Experience working with relational databases and **SQL** (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL)

•Experience with **NoSQL** databases, including document and/or graph databases (e.g., Cosmos DB, MongoDB, Neo4j, Gremlin-based graph databases)

•Understanding of Azure Pipelines, and the CI/CD approach to shipping software

•Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to evaluate and implement pragmatic technical solutions

•Excellent communication and collaboration skills

•Interest in A**I/ML technologies, including LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, and model fine-tuning**

•Experience with **AI/ML frameworks** and libraries such as **PyTorch, Transformers, LangChain, LangGraph**, or similar technologies is a plus

•Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced, experimental environment focused on rapid prototyping and innovation

**The salary range for this position is between €4,100 and €4,600 / month gross.**
