## Description

**Position Title:** Bookkeeper

**Salary:** up to 1,800 NZD per month

**Work Schedule:** 8:30AM-5:30PM NZST

### **Role Overview**

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper with experience in Xero and New Zealand accounting practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, and ensuring compliance with relevant NZ regulations.

### **Key Responsibilities**

-   Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
-   Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and receivable
-   Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
-   Process invoices, payments, and payroll (if applicable)
-   Prepare and manage GST returns in accordance with New Zealand regulations
-   Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
-   Generate financial reports as required
-   Liaise with accountants, auditors, and other stakeholders
-   Ensure compliance with New Zealand financial and tax requirements

## Requirements

-   Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role

-   Hands-on experience with **Xero accounting software**
-   Solid understanding of **New Zealand accounting standards and GST**
-   Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
-   Good organizational and time management skills
-   Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

### **Preferred Qualifications**

-   Experience working with New Zealand-based clients or companies
-   Relevant accounting or bookkeeping certification
-   Experience handling multiple entities or accounts
