The Activities Assistant position assists with planning, organizing, and leading individual and group activities based on residents’ interests, abilities, and preferences. This position works closely with residents, families, and other staff to encourage participation and create a positive and engaging environment throughout the facility.

### Responsibilities

-   Plan and lead engaging individual and group activities.
-   Encourage resident participation based on individual interests and abilities.
-   Provide one-on-one activities and visits as needed.
-   Assist residents to and from activities.
-   Help coordinate outings, special events, and holiday celebrations.
-   Maintain activity calendars, participation records, and required documentation.
-   Keep activity areas and supplies organized, clean, and safe.
-   Build positive relationships with residents and families.
-   Follow facility policies, resident rights, and regulatory requirements.

## Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Dependable, organized, creative, and able to work well as part of a team.

Ability to work effectively with older adults and residents with varying physical and cognitive abilities.

Previous experience in activities, recreation, healthcare, or long-term care is preferred but not required.
