**Location:** Acequia/Rupert, Idaho (On-site)  
**Job Type:** Full-Time  
**Salary:** **$130,000 - $150,000 DOE**

We are seeking an experienced **Controller** to lead our accounting operations and provide strategic financial oversight for our growing organization. As the Controller, you will oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, ensure compliance with financial regulations, improve internal controls, and provide meaningful financial insights that help drive informed business decisions.

### What You'll Do

-   Lead and manage all accounting operations, including **Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and Financial Reporting**.
-   Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize financial risk.
-   Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with **Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)**.
-   Create, update, and distribute financial and managerial reports to company leadership.
-   Monitor budgets, analyze budget-to-actual performance, and communicate significant variances to management.
-   Provide financial analysis and recommendations related to capital investments, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
-   Coordinate annual audits and collaborate with external auditors by providing required financial documentation.
-   Prepare and file quarterly and annual financial reports with appropriate government agencies.
-   Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal financial regulations.
-   Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, operational efficiency, and financial reporting.
-   Perform additional accounting and finance responsibilities as assigned.

## Requirements

### Required

-   Strong understanding of **debits and credits**, **revenue recognition**, and **accrual versus cash accounting**.
-   Experience overseeing full-cycle accounting operations.
-   Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
-   Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
-   Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
-   Proficiency with accounting software, tax preparation software, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

### Preferred

-   Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
-   **CPA (Certified Public Accountant)** or **CMA (Certified Management Accountant)** designation.
-   Experience managing accounting teams and financial reporting in a growing organization.

### Physical Requirements

-   Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
-   Occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
-   Ability to travel as needed.
