## Description

**Job Title:** Billing & Authorizations Coordinator

**Location:** South Africa

**Job Type:** Full-Time, Remote

**Working Hours:** Pacific Standard Time (9am-5pm PST)

**Salary:** South African Rand (ZAR)

A detail-oriented and persistent Billing & Authorizations Coordinator is sought to support insurance billing and authorization processes in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for following up with insurance companies regarding claims and authorizations, ensuring claims are processed and honored, maintaining accurate records, and supporting operational workflows. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, persistence, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple follow-up tasks efficiently.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Follow up with insurance companies regarding billing claims and authorization requests
-   Ensure claims and authorizations are processed and honored in a timely manner
-   Maintain detailed records of claim statuses, follow-ups, and communication history
-   Coordinate communication with insurance providers, patients, and internal teams
-   Monitor outstanding claims and escalate unresolved issues when necessary
-   Support billing and authorization workflows and administrative processes
-   Maintain professionalism and persistence during insurance follow-up calls
-   Assist with scheduling, reporting, and documentation management as needed
-   Ensure accuracy and compliance with billing and authorization procedures
-   Support additional operational and administrative tasks as required

## Requirements

-   Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) highly preferred
-   Previous experience in billing, authorizations, insurance follow-up, healthcare administration, or customer service preferred
-   Strong communication and follow-up skills required
-   Ability to stay organized and manage multiple claims and tasks simultaneously required
-   Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities required
-   Ability to professionally communicate with insurance companies and providers required
-   Basic CRM knowledge required
-   Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment
-   Persistence and professionalism when handling insurance claim follow-ups required
-   Proficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative systems preferred
-   Reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup
