**About the role...**

We are currently seeking an **Oracle PL/SQL Engineer** to join our team. The successful candidate will work in a multinational environment on a multitude of tasks supporting our business in implementing and developing solutions for large EU and international institutions and private sector companies in Greece and abroad.

  

**What you will do...**

-   Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
-   Collaborate with Java/Spring Boot teams to integrate PL/SQL logic into backend services.
-   Optimize SQL queries and database structures for performance and scalability.
-   Support data migration activities, ETL processes, and integration between multiple systems.
-   Participate in database design, schema reviews, and code quality checks.
-   Investigate and resolve performance issues, production incidents, and database bottlenecks.
-   Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation.
-   Contribute to improving development standards, code quality, and automation practices.

  

**Technical Skills required...**

-   BSc's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or another relevant field.
-   3–5 years of hands-on experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.
-   Strong understanding of SQL tuning, query optimization, and database performance.
-   Experience with Oracle tools (TOAD, SQL Developer).
-   Working knowledge of Java and Spring Boot for backend integrations.
-   Solid foundation in data modelling, relational design, and normalization principles.
-   Familiarity with REST APIs, JDBC, or ORM frameworks such as Hibernate/JPA.
-   Comfortable working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
-   Clear, structured communication skills and the ability to explain technical topics simply.
-   Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  

_Experience in the following will be considered as an asset_:

-   Experience with Git/Bitbucket and CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
-   Familiarity with Unix/Linux shell scripting.
-   Exposure to cloud environments (Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS).
-   Experience with ETL tools (Informatica, ODI, or custom implementations).
