## Description

ache Valley Electric is seeking an experienced **General Foreman – Electrical** to provide field leadership and oversight for electrical construction projects.

The General Foreman is responsible for coordinating field operations across multiple crews, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to project plans, specifications, schedules, and quality standards.

This position works closely with **Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, subcontractors, and customers** to keep projects moving and ensure field operations align with overall project objectives.

The ideal candidate is a strong field leader who understands electrical construction, can effectively manage multiple crews, and knows how to turn project plans and schedules into organized field execution.

What You'll Do

-   Provide overall field leadership and direction for electrical construction activities
-   Supervise and coordinate multiple electrical crews and Foremen
-   Work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to execute project plans and schedules
-   Plan daily and weekly manpower, materials, equipment, and work activities
-   Coordinate work between crews to maximize productivity and minimize conflicts
-   Ensure crews have the materials, tools, equipment, information, and resources required to perform their work
-   Review project drawings, specifications, schedules, and scope of work
-   Interpret plans and communicate project requirements to Foremen and field personnel
-   Monitor production and progress against project schedules
-   Identify potential delays, manpower issues, material shortages, and other field constraints and communicate them to project leadership
-   Assist with developing and maintaining short-term and look-ahead schedules
-   Coordinate with other trades, subcontractors, vendors, and customer representatives as required
-   Ensure work is installed according to project specifications, applicable codes, and company quality standards
-   Conduct regular field inspections and address quality issues before they become larger problems
-   Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all crews
-   Ensure employees follow company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and project-specific safety procedures
-   Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and jobsite inspections
-   Track manpower, productivity, materials, equipment, and production quantities
-   Assist Project Managers with forecasting and identifying potential labor or productivity concerns
-   Help identify and document changes in scope or field conditions
-   Communicate field changes and project issues to the appropriate Project Manager or Superintendent
-   Assist with project startup, mobilization, and closeout activities
-   Train, mentor, and develop Foremen, Journeymen, Apprentices, and other field personnel
-   Hold Foremen and crews accountable for productivity, quality, safety, and schedule performance
-   Maintain professional relationships with customers, inspectors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders
-   Lead by example and promote teamwork, accountability, and professionalism throughout the project

## Requirements

-   Significant experience in **commercial, industrial, utility, or electrical construction**
-   Previous experience as a **General Foreman, Superintendent, Foreman, or senior electrical field leader**
-   Strong understanding of electrical construction methods, sequencing, and installation practices
-   Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, one-lines, and project documents
-   Demonstrated ability to lead multiple crews and Foremen
-   Strong understanding of construction schedules and field production
-   Ability to identify problems in the field and develop practical solutions
-   Strong communication and leadership skills
-   Ability to effectively communicate with both field personnel and project management
-   Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
-   Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and manage changing priorities
-   Commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and professionalism

Preferred Qualifications

-   Experience leading large-scale electrical construction projects
-   Experience in **transmission, distribution, substation, or utility construction**
-   Experience working with major electrical contractors, utilities, or EPC contractors
-   OSHA 30 or other relevant safety training
-   Electrical Journeyman or Master Electrician license where applicable
-   Experience with construction scheduling and project management software
-   Experience tracking labor productivity and production quantities
-   Previous experience developing and mentoring Foremen
