**Department:**  
**Drainage/Depot Network** consists of a strategically located depot network across the UK, spanning from Aberdeen to Plymouth.  Enabling rapid response to customer requirements and providing round-the-clock coverage, 365 days a year.

This extensive footprint allows Lanes to combine local responsiveness with national capability, ensuring consistent service standards while maintaining close relationships with regional customers and infrastructure partners

**Purpose of the Role:**

To design, develop, and deliver drainage and wastewater infrastructure solutions, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with engineering standards, environmental regulations, and client requirements while supporting the maintenance and improvement of critical drainage networks. Your schedule will vary to include all types of clients and worksites, from commercial and residential to industrial, rail, road and utility, right across the region.

**About the Role:**

-   **Salary:** Starting £14.50 per hour depending on experience
-   **Location:** Glasgow
-   **Hours:** 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

-   21 Days holiday plus Bank Holidays

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Carry out site investigations, surveys, and feasibility studies.[](https://careers.lanesgroup.com/resources/civil-engineer-job-responsibilities)
-   Produce technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation using CAD software.

-   Support asset maintenance, drainage improvements, flood prevention, and wastewater network performance

**Key Requirements:**

**Skills & Experience**

-   Full Driving Licence (required) with no more than 6 penalty points 

**Desirable:**

-   NRSWA Streetworks
-   Experience within the drainage industry.
-   Machine ticket (excavator above/below 10t)
-   ​Confined space level 2 and above
-   ​Cat & Genny Location
-   ​Shoring
-   ​CSCS
-   ​Manual Handling
-   ​First Aid at Work
