We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled **Consultant General Surgeon** to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care, managing a broad range of elective and emergency general surgical conditions while ensuring safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered treatment.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Diagnose and manage a broad range of general surgical conditions in adult patients.
-   Perform elective and emergency general surgical procedures within the scope of practice.
-   Manage gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, colorectal, breast, hernia, and other general surgical conditions.
-   Perform appropriate open, laparoscopic, and minimally invasive surgical procedures where qualified.
-   Conduct comprehensive preoperative assessments and provide postoperative care and follow-up.
-   Evaluate patients presenting with acute abdominal pain, surgical infections, trauma, and other urgent surgical conditions.
-   Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, diagnostic investigations, and patient needs.
-   Collaborate with anesthesiologists, gastroenterologists, radiologists, oncologists, and other specialists.
-   Provide surgical consultations and second opinions for complex cases.
-   Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical procedures, risks, and expected outcomes.
-   Ensure appropriate perioperative management, patient safety, and infection-control practices.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with UAE healthcare regulations and facility policies.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and teaching activities where applicable.

## Requirements

### **Qualifications**

-   **Medical degree** (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
-   **Recognized postgraduate qualification in General Surgery**, in accordance with applicable UAE licensing requirements.
-   Additional fellowship or advanced training in a relevant surgical subspecialty is desirable.
-   Eligible for or holding a valid **DHA Consultant license/eligibility** in the relevant specialty.
-   Demonstrated experience in general surgical diagnosis, treatment, and procedures.
-   Strong clinical, diagnostic, surgical, and decision-making skills.
-   Experience in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery is desirable.
-   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-   Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
-   Commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and continuous professional development.
