## Description

Southstar S.A., a leading company in the recycling and circular economy sector, is seeking a part-time Assistant Accountant to join its Finance Department at the company’s headquarters.

The successful candidate will support the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of financial processes. This role requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work effectively within a structured and dynamic environment.

-   Supporting the daily operations of the Accounting Department
-   Recording and reviewing accounting entries and financial documents
-   Processing supplier invoices and accounting transactions
-   Performing supplier, bank, and account reconciliations
-   Assisting with monthly closing procedures and financial reporting
-   Supporting myDATA processes and electronic invoicing procedures
-   Preparing financial reports and management reporting information
-   Collaborating with internal departments and external accounting partners
-   Maintaining accurate accounting records and documentation

## Requirements

-   Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
-   Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a similar accounting role
-   Experience working with double-entry bookkeeping (Category C books) is mandatory
-   Good knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
-   Familiarity with myDATA processes will be considered an asset
-   Strong attention to detail and accuracy
-   Excellent organizational and time-management skills
-   Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
-   Good command of the English language
