## Description

We are expanding our B2B banking ecosystem and looking for a **Product Manager (Payments & Transactions)** to build and scale the payment capabilities that power everyday banking for SME customers.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who understands how payments actually work behind the scenes. **Experience with Nigerian payment infrastructure (NIBSS Instant Payments, bank transfers, collections, virtual accounts, card processing, or agency banking) is highly preferred.**

We're looking for someone who can quickly understand the existing payments landscape, identify opportunities for improvement, and start delivering within the first 4–6 weeks.

### What You'll Do

-   Own the roadmap for payments and transaction processing products serving SME customers
-   Improve the reliability, speed, and success rates of payment processing across multiple payment rails
-   Design and optimize payment journeys for transfers, collections, bill payments, and other banking transactions
-   Work closely with Engineering to define product requirements, write PRDs, prioritize the backlog, and drive execution
-   Collaborate with Operations, Compliance, Risk, and Banking Partners to ensure smooth payment processing and regulatory compliance
-   Improve reconciliation, settlement, transaction monitoring, and operational workflows
-   Analyze payment performance and customer behavior to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for optimization
-   Drive integrations with banks, payment processors, and financial infrastructure providers
-   Bring practical best practices from leading fintechs and digital banks operating in emerging markets

## Requirements

### What We're Looking For

-   4+ years of Product Management experience in fintech, banking, or payments
-   Strong hands-on experience owning payment or transaction processing products
-   Good understanding of payment rails, transaction lifecycle, reconciliation, settlement, and payment operations
-   Experience working closely with engineering teams in agile product environments
-   Ability to translate business problems into detailed product requirements and drive execution
-   Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
-   Experience with African payment ecosystems, particularly Nigeria, is a strong advantage
