## Description

WE are looking for a highly experienced **Senior MS SQL & Oracle Database Engineer** to manage and support critical database infrastructure within a banking environment.

The ideal candidate must have **strong banking experience** and extensive hands-on expertise in **Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases**, including on-premises clustering, replication, Disaster Recovery (DR), advanced troubleshooting, and SQL query performance tuning.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Administer and support **MS SQL Server and Oracle databases** in a critical banking environment.
-   Manage and maintain **on-premises MS SQL and Oracle database clusters**.
-   Configure and support **database clustering, replication, and DR environments**.
-   Support database replication between primary production environments and **DR sites**.
-   Troubleshoot complex database availability, performance, and connectivity issues.
-   Perform advanced troubleshooting and **fine-tuning of MS SQL queries**.
-   Analyze query execution and identify performance bottlenecks.
-   Ensure database environments maintain high availability and operational reliability.
-   Support database-related incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
-   Work closely with infrastructure, application, network, and other technical teams to resolve database issues.
-   Support database maintenance and operational activities in accordance with banking requirements.

## Requirements

-   **Banking experience – Mandatory.**
-   **10+ years of total IT experience.**
-   Minimum **7 years of hands-on experience with MS SQL Database and Oracle**.
-   Strong hands-on experience with **MS SQL clustering** in on-premises environments.
-   Strong hands-on experience with **Oracle clustering** in on-premises environments.
-   Hands-on experience with **MS SQL and Oracle replication**.
-   Hands-on experience supporting **DR sites and database replication/DR environments**.
-   Advanced troubleshooting and **MS SQL query performance tuning** experience.
