## Description

**Salary: R23 000 – R25 000 per month**

Remote Recruitment is hiring a **Reconciliations Clerk** for a UK-based employer, fully remote from South Africa.

**Role overview**

You will keep a UK company's bank, supplier and ledger balances agreeing to the penny, and own the month-end reconciliation cycle. This is a hands-on role where accuracy and follow-through matter every day, and you will be trusted to work independently without being chased. You will also be part of a supportive remote team, with regular check-ins, clear priorities and the tools you need to do your best work from day one, so you always know what good looks like.

You will work UK business hours (09:00–17:00 UK, 11:00–19:00 SAST) from home, as part of a South African team placed directly with established UK employers. Remote Recruitment supports you from placement onwards.

**Key responsibilities**

-   Reconcile bank, credit card and supplier statements to the ledger
-   Investigate and clear unmatched items and differences
-   Post journals and correcting entries accurately
-   Maintain a clean reconciliation schedule for month-end
-   Flag recurring discrepancies to the finance lead

**What you'll need**

-   Experience reconciling bank or supplier accounts in Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
-   Strong Excel skills, including lookups and filters
-   A careful, numbers-first approach
-   Clear written English for query emails
-   Reliable broadband and a quiet home workspace

**Nice to have**

-   Familiarity with Dext or Hubdoc
-   Experience with multi-currency accounts
-   Month-end close exposure
