## Description

### **Position Overview**

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Infrastructure Solutions Architect to join our Infrastructure & Operations organization. This role is responsible for designing, governing, and driving the implementation of scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise infrastructure solutions across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted technical advisor, translating business requirements into robust technology solutions while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards, cybersecurity requirements, operational excellence objectives, and long-term technology roadmaps.

This position requires a combination of deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and hands-on architectural leadership.

### **Key Responsibilities**

### **Enterprise Architecture & Solution Design**

-   Design and architect scalable, highly available, and secure infrastructure solutions across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
-   Develop and maintain architecture blueprints, technical standards, design principles, and governance frameworks.
-   Produce comprehensive architecture documentation, including solution designs, integration patterns, system diagrams, and technical specifications.
-   Ensure infrastructure solutions align with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
-   Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency, performance, and business value.

Strategic Technology Planning**

-   Collaborate with Infrastructure & Operations leadership to define and maintain the enterprise infrastructure roadmap.
-   Translate business strategies and operational requirements into practical technology solutions and implementation plans.
-   Conduct technology assessments, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses to support investment decisions.
-   Identify opportunities for platform consolidation, optimisation, automation, and modernisation.

Technical Leadership**

-   Provide architectural leadership and technical direction across infrastructure programmes and projects.
-   Lead Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives and technology evaluations.
-   Review and approve technical designs developed by engineering and delivery teams.
-   Act as the highest level escalation point for complex infrastructure and architecture challenges.
-   Mentor engineers and technical specialists, promoting best practices and architectural excellence.

### **  
Stakeholder Engagement & Governance**

-   Partner closely with Application Development, Security, Operations, Enterprise Architecture, and Business stakeholders.
-   Present architecture recommendations, investment proposals, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership.
-   Facilitate architecture review boards, design workshops, and governance forums.
-   Build strong relationships across technical and non-technical teams to ensure alignment and successful solution delivery.

Implementation & Continuous Improvement**

-   Oversee the implementation of approved infrastructure solutions and ensure adherence to architectural standards.
-   Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, reliability, performance, and operational maturity.
-   Support disaster recovery, business continuity, resilience, and high-availability planning.
-   Monitor technology trends and proactively identify opportunities to improve infrastructure capabilities and service delivery.

## Requirements

### **Education**

-   Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
-   Relevant industry certifications are highly desirable.

### **  
Professional Experience**

-   Minimum 7 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Operations.
-   Minimum 3 years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, or Technical Architecture roles.
-   Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions within complex environments.
-   Experience operating within highly regulated and security-conscious organisations is advantageous.

### **Technical Expertise**

-   Strong expertise across enterprise infrastructure technologies, including cloud, automation, virtualization, networking, security, and DevOps.
-   Proven ability to design and support scalable, resilient, and secure infrastructure solutions.
