## Description

The Vice President, Global Market Insights will join the USDEC Dairy Economics team, reporting to the SVP of Global Economic Affairs and serving as a leading voice on U.S. and global dairy market trends, drivers, and outlook. In this role, you will analyze market data and industry intelligence, contribute to flagship publications such as the US Trade Data Report and International Demand Analysis, and deliver global dairy outlook presentations to stakeholders at home and abroad. You will build strong relationships with U.S. dairy companies, international customers, and allied organizations while providing economic insight that shapes USDEC's research, marketing programs, policy engagement, and broader export and trade initiatives. We are looking for an exceptional analyst and communicator who can turn large volumes of data into actionable insights, collaborate across teams, and travel domestically and internationally as needed.

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Track and analyze U.S. and global dairy markets, utilizing an array of data, industry contacts, and information to better understand market drivers, trends and outlook.
-   Compile, interpret and present global market information and forecasts to stakeholders in both written reports and oral presentations.
-   Support the analysis and publication of USDEC market intelligence reports, including the US Trade Data Report and International Demand Analysis. 
-   Present global dairy outlook presentations to relevant stakeholders both domestically and abroad.
-   Build and maintain relationships with U.S. dairy company staff, international customers, and allied organizations, thereby growing U.S. dairy’s knowledge of global market conditions.
-   Provide market insight and an economic perspective into USDEC’s custom research, marketing programs, and policy engagement.
-   Participate collaboratively in developing departmental and organizational strategy.
-   Maintain familiarity of international policy, economic factors and demographic dynamics that impact U.S. dairy exports.
-   Support collection of data and insight inquiries from NMPF & USDEC staff, members, farmers and other relevant stakeholders.
-   Offer data-driven insight into global dairy markets to assist in management of NMPF Exports and Trade program, or NEXT, and provide economic services to National Milk Producers Federation as needed.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**

-   Exceptional analytical skills
-   Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
-   Proven ability to synthesize large amounts of information and data into actionable insights.
-   Collaborative mindset is necessary to work across various teams with ability to prioritize different projects.
-   Adept learner with an appetite for developing skills and gaining knowledge in a variety of subject areas.
-   Knowledge of the dairy industry and its key players is a plus.

**Education & Experience:**

-   Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, such as agricultural economics; master's degree highly preferred.
-   6+ years of experience in dairy, international trade, risk management, or another analytical field.
-   Familiarity with U.S. dairy trade preferred.
-   Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

**Salary Range:**

$120,000 to $165,000 annually, commensurate with experience
