INAUTALENT is supporting Auto24 in the search for a Country Manager for South Africa.

Auto24 is a fast-growing, tech-enabled automotive marketplace reshaping the way used vehicles are bought and sold across Africa. Backed by a strong international group, the company operates across multiple African markets with the ambition to bring greater transparency, efficiency, and trust to the fragmented used car ecosystem.

Through a combination of digital acquisition channels, structured sourcing, in-house reconditioning, and optimized pricing strategies, Auto24 manages the full vehicle lifecycle — from procurement to resale. The platform serves both individual consumers and professional partners, offering a seamless, reliable, and scalable buying experience.

South Africa represents a key and mature market within Auto24’s expansion strategy, with significant growth potential and a central role in the group’s long-term vision.

### The Role

As Country Manager, you will be fully accountable for the South African P&L and operational performance.

You will lead the local team (30–50+ employees across sales, sourcing, operations, marketing & support) and drive profitable growth while ensuring operational discipline, strong governance, and customer excellence.

You will report directly to Group leadership.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Full P&L ownership and financial performance management
-   Define and execute local growth strategy aligned with Group vision
-   Drive sales performance and inventory rotation
-   Oversee sourcing, reconditioning, pricing and margin optimization
-   Ensure strong cash flow and cost control
-   Build, structure and lead high-performing teams
-   Develop strategic partnerships (banks, insurers, fleet owners, etc.)
-   Represent the company externally and strengthen brand positioning

## Requirements

-   8–15+ years of leadership experience
-   Proven experience in automotive, focus used car market
-   Proven experience managing a profitable business unit or country operation
-   Strong financial acumen and P&L management capability
-   Experience in marketplace, retail, fintech or asset-heavy business is highly valued
-   Demonstrated ability to scale operations in a fast-paced environment
-   Strong people leadership and execution mindset
-   Entrepreneurial, hands-on, results-driven
