**Veterinary Assistant (full or part time)  
Location: Pinecrest Veterinary Hospital, Owosso, Michigan**

Pinecrest Animal Hospital is a progressive, innovative 4-doctor small animal practice in Owosso, Michigan. Our team is known for delivering high-quality care using advanced diagnostics and treatments—including ultrasound, echocardiography, full in-house lab work, laser therapy, and a wide range of surgical procedures from routine to complex.

Our story began in 1953 with Dr. Jerry Fries, a legendary mixed animal practitioner who served his community with dedication—even making house calls by plane and motorcycle! ### **What You’ll Be Doing**

As a **Veterinary Assistant**, your duties will include:

-   Assisting veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
-   Providing compassionate care and handling for patients of all sizes and temperaments.
-   Administering medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinary team.
-   Preparing and maintaining exam rooms, surgical suites, and equipment.
-   Performing diagnostic tests, such as lab work and radiography, under supervision.
-   Educating clients on basic pet care and post-treatment instructions.
-   Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring a clean and organized clinic environment.

## Requirements

### **What We’re Looking For**

-   **Experience: 1 Year Experience** as a Veterinary Assistant is required. 
-   Skills: Strong diagnostic, technical, and communication abilities. Anesthesia monitoring experience preferred.
-   Mindset: A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a passion for patient care.
-   Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
-   Must be available on Saturday.
