### Talent Pooling / Expression of Interest

As a Network & Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting and maintaining enterprise infrastructure environments across networking, identity services, server platforms, endpoint management, and operational services.

This is a potential contract opportunity for an experienced infrastructure specialist to join one of The Missing Link's enterprise customers. You will work within a mature technology environment, supporting critical business systems while contributing to infrastructure improvement and transition initiatives.

Working closely with internal technology teams, managed service providers, architects, and key stakeholders, you will be responsible for maintaining stable, secure, and well-managed infrastructure services while delivering operational excellence across both network and systems domains.

This contract role provides an excellent opportunity to work within a large-scale enterprise environment, contributing to both business-as-usual operations and targeted infrastructure modernisation projects.

## Requirements

Key Responsibilities

### Network Operations

-   Support and maintain enterprise Cisco switching, routing and wireless environments.
-   Troubleshoot complex LAN, WAN, wireless and connectivity issues.
-   Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
-   Monitor network performance, availability and capacity.

### Infrastructure & Identity Services

-   Administer Active Directory environments, including:

-   Domain Controllers
-   Group Policy
-   DNS
-   DHCP
-   Sites & Services

-   Support Microsoft 365 identity and access services.
-   Administer MFA, NPS and Conditional Access controls.
-   Maintain critical infrastructure and core platform services.

### Monitoring & Service Management

-   Operate and maintain network monitoring solutions such as ManageEngine or equivalent platforms.
-   Investigate alerts and incidents, driving issues through to resolution.
-   Manage incidents, problems and changes using an enterprise ITSM platform.
-   Contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives.

### Endpoint Management

-   Support SCCM and Intune environments.
-   Manage patching, software deployment and endpoint compliance activities.
-   Maintain endpoint management standards and operational effectiveness.

### Vendor & Operational Management

-   Act as a key technical liaison between internal stakeholders and managed service providers.
-   Coordinate resolution of operational issues and service delivery concerns.
-   Ensure third-party providers meet agreed service expectations.

### Infrastructure Transition Activities

-   Deliver server upgrade and migration activities.
-   Perform file server migration, cutover and decommissioning tasks.
-   Complete DFS migration activities while maintaining service continuity.
-   Support infrastructure modernisation initiatives and operational improvements.

### Documentation & Knowledge Management

-   Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks and operational procedures.
-   Ensure infrastructure records remain current and accurate.
-   Provide operational knowledge transfer and continuity support.

About You

You are a hands-on infrastructure professional with strong experience across both networking and Microsoft systems administration.

You are comfortable operating within complex enterprise environments and enjoy taking ownership of infrastructure issues from investigation through to resolution. You possess excellent troubleshooting skills, strong stakeholder engagement capabilities, and the ability to balance operational responsibilities with project-based deliverables.

You thrive in environments where reliability, security and operational excellence are paramount.

Skills & Experience

### Technical Skills

-   Proven experience supporting Cisco enterprise networking environments.
-   Strong experience across switching, routing and wireless technologies.
-   Hands-on experience administering Windows Server environments.
-   Strong Active Directory administration experience.
-   Practical knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and Microsoft identity services.
-   Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Conditional Access environments.
-   Experience delivering Windows Server migration and upgrade activities.
-   Strong understanding of DFS namespaces and replication.
-   Experience supporting SCCM and/or Microsoft Intune environments.
-   Familiarity with network monitoring platforms such as ManageEngine.
-   Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding capability across infrastructure technologies.

### Operational Experience

-   Experience working within ITIL-aligned environments.
-   Strong incident, change and problem management experience.
-   Experience working with enterprise ITSM platforms.
-   Proven ability to coordinate and manage third-party service providers.
-   Exceptional documentation and technical writing skills.

Requirements

-   5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration, network engineering, or related enterprise technology roles.
-   Strong hands-on Cisco networking experience.
-   Demonstrated experience supporting Microsoft infrastructure environments.
-   Proven experience administering Active Directory, DNS and DHCP services.
-   Experience supporting endpoint management technologies including SCCM and Intune.
-   Experience performing infrastructure migrations and upgrade activities.
-   Strong stakeholder communication and vendor management capabilities.
-   Ability to work independently and manage competing operational priorities.

Desirable

-   CCNA certification.
-   CCNP certification.
-   Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (AZ-800 / AZ-801).
-   Microsoft Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102).
-   ITIL Foundation certification.
-   Experience working within highly regulated enterprise environments.
-   Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments.
-   Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting using PowerShell.
