## Description

We are seeking an experienced **Senior Project Manager** to lead large-scale commercial and multifamily construction projects throughout the Memphis area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established **commercial general contractor** and take ownership of projects from preconstruction through final completion.

The ideal candidate has a strong background with a commercial general contractor, proven experience managing complex construction projects, and the leadership skills to oversee project teams while maintaining budgets, schedules, quality standards, and strong client relationships.

### Responsibilities

-   Lead commercial and multifamily construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
-   Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, forecasts, procurement plans, and execution strategies
-   Serve as the primary liaison between owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
-   Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, scopes of work, submittals, and project documentation
-   Manage subcontractor bidding, procurement, contract administration, and change orders
-   Monitor project costs, financial performance, forecasting, and profitability while proactively mitigating project risks
-   Partner with Superintendents and field leadership to maintain schedules, resolve issues, and ensure successful project execution
-   Coordinate consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders throughout all project phases
-   Ensure compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, safety regulations, and applicable building codes
-   Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, scheduling updates, and client communications
-   Mentor and develop Project Managers, Project Engineers, and support staff while fostering a collaborative team environment
-   Successfully manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced construction environment

## Requirements

-   **7+ years of commercial construction project management experience required**
-   Experience managing **commercial, multifamily, healthcare, education, industrial, or institutional projects** from preconstruction through closeout
-   Previous experience working for a **commercial general contractor or construction management firm** is required
-   Demonstrated success managing project budgets, scheduling, cost control, procurement, contracts, and change orders
-   Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, contract administration, and project financial management
-   Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
-   Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills
-   Proficiency with construction management software, scheduling platforms, and Microsoft Office
-   Experience leading project teams and coordinating field operations, subcontractors, and consultants
-   **Local Memphis-area candidates are strongly preferred**
-   Experience limited to residential homebuilding or small-scale residential projects will not be considered
-   Must successfully complete professional reference checks and a pre-employment drug screening
