## Description

Our client is looking for an experienced **Founding Engineer** to build **a production-grade Voice AI legal intake platform.**

This is **the first engineering hire**. The immediate challenge isn't simply building another AI prototype. It's taking an existing prototype and making it reliable enough for sensitive, real-world legal conversations where failures, privacy issues, or incorrect routing have meaningful consequences.

The Founding Engineer will also be forward-deployed: as the founder signs law firms, this engineer will ensure the Voice AI system actually works inside each firm's environment.

**What You’ll Do**

-   Take an existing **conversational Voice AI intake receptionist from founder-built prototype → production**
-   Production-grade infrastructure for live AI-powered client calls
-   Embedded web-based legal intake
-   Privacy and security controls for sensitive legal conversations
-   Infrastructure supporting sensitive client-fund workflows
-   Referral platform connecting attorneys, partner firms, and referred clients
-   Telephony integrations with partner law firms
-   Existing phone-system integrations
-   IVR configuration/integration
-   Additional AI workflows based directly on partner-firm feedback
-   Reliability and production monitoring for high-stakes AI conversations

## Requirements

**The Ideal Candidate:**

The strongest target is likely an **Applied AI / Voice AI engineer with 4–8+ years of engineering experience who has personally shipped production systems and wants founding-level ownership.**

**Requirements**

-   **4+ years of professional software engineering experience**
-   **Recent applied AI experience at a strong company**
-   **Voice AI or telephony exposure is highly important**
-   Proven ability to take an AI prototype into a reliable production system serving real users
-   Strong full-stack capability with ability to own the product end-to-end
-   Production experience involving privacy and security
-   Comfortable building workflows involving sensitive information and client funds
-   Strong customer-facing ability
-   Able to personally install/integrate the product into customer environments
-   Comfortable working with existing phone systems and telephony integrations
-   **San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate**
-   **Minimum 4 days/week in-office**
-   Comfortable with an intense founding-stage schedule beyond a conventional 9-to-5
