## Description

At atmio, we build the hardware and software that make methane emissions visible, so operators in the energy sector can act before it's too late.

We're looking for a **Hardware Engineer (m/f/x) with a production focus**. You'll build, test, and calibrate our stationary and handheld methane detectors, get them ready for customer deployment, and repair the units that come back for service.

You'll report to our Head of Hardware [Ivan](https://www.linkedin.com/in/ivan-kuznetsov-cm/) and work directly with the production and development team.

**Key Responsibilities 🎯**

- Assemble, test, and calibrate our methane detection devices
- Run incoming inspection and quality checks; maintain test records and device history
- Maintain and improve test fixtures, calibration setups, and work instructions
- Repair returned units and systematically track the fault causes
- Support material availability, supplier questions, and production planning
- Support customer sites with installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Be the production voice in design reviews: turn what you see on the line and in the field into design-for-manufacturability decisions for the next device generation

**This role is a perfect fit if you... ✨**

- Are hands-on by nature: soldering iron, multimeter, and a screw driver are on your desk along the laptop
- Enjoy chasing a fault until you know exactly what caused it
- Care about getting things right, not just done
- Prefer a documented process over a hero fix
- Want to grow from hands-on production into broader production and hardware ownership

## Requirements

**Skills & experience you will need 💪**

- Apprenticeship or degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or similar
- Hands-on experience with electronics assembly, soldering, or hardware testing
- Comfortable with test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply) and basic troubleshooting
- Structured and reliable with documentation — test protocols, serial numbers, revisions
- Willingness to travel occasionally for field deployments
- Fluent in German and English

**Great to have ➕**

- Experience in a small-series or startup production environment
- Familiarity with an ERP system (we use Odoo)
- Exposure to gas measurement, sensor calibration, or ATEX/explosion-protected equipment

## Benefits

- **Hybrid Working:** Work from our hub in Hamburg and from home

- **Unlimited Vacation**: Take as many holidays as you need — we trust you to recharge when it matters most
- **Flexible Working Hours**: Work during the hours that align with your peak performance and lifestyle
- **Mental Health Matters**: Access 1:1 psychologist sessions and workshops through our Bloom partnership
- **Professional Growth**: Use a dedicated development budget to enhance your skills and career
- **Stock Option Plan**: Receive virtual stocks as a reward for your trust, effort, and vision alignment
- **Unite, Recharge, Celebrate**: Join in-person team retreats to connect and have fun
- **Explore Germany**: Enjoy the Deutschlandticket for flexible public transportation access
