## Description

**Westview International Language School is** seeking a qualified and experienced English Teacher/Head of Department (HOD) for the academic year 26-27. This leadership role involves overseeing the English language department, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and curriculum development, and guiding a team of teachers to achieve academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities

\* Lead and manage the English Department to ensure excellence in teaching and learning.

\* Develop, implement, and monitor the English curriculum in line with the school’s academic standards.

\* Support, mentor, and evaluate English teachers through coaching, lesson observations, and performance feedback.

\* Monitor students’ academic progress and implement strategies to improve learning outcomes.

\* Ensure high-quality planning, teaching, assessment, and curriculum delivery across all grade levels.

\* Foster a collaborative, innovative, and positive learning environment within the department.

\* Coordinate departmental meetings and contribute to whole-school initiatives.

\* Work closely with the School Leadership Team to achieve the school’s strategic objectives.

\* Promote continuous professional development and best teaching practices.

\* Ensure compliance with all school policies, safeguarding requirements, and academic expectations

## Requirements

-   Bachelor’s degree or higher in German Language, Education, or a related field.
-   Proven experience in teaching German and in a leadership role, preferably as a Head of Department.
-   Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
-   Ability to motivate and inspire both students and staff.
-   Familiarity with curriculum development and assessment techniques.
-   Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
