## Description

A fast-growing international investment & brokerage group is expanding its finance team in Limassol. With transaction volumes growing, we are hiring a hands-on accountant to own the day-to-day accounting of one of our regulated brokerage entities — working primarily in 1C, partnering with internal back-office and reconciliation teams across jurisdictions, and supporting the monthly close and audit.

**What you'll do**

-   Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records in compliance with financial services regulations;
-   Manage records of bank and broker accounts, cash books, including monthly reconciliations;
-   Maintenance of proper records of financial instruments held under own portfolio;
-   Collaborate with the back-office, reconciliation teams, and other departments to ensure client transactions and balances and accounting records are accurate and aligned;
-   Liaise with vendors, external service providers, and internal departments on accounting, financial, and operational matters to ensure efficient resolution of queries and effective financial management;
-   Oversee the acquisition, transfer, and disposal of fixed assets, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded;
-   Calculate and review depreciation schedules, and ensure proper asset valuation in compliance with accounting standards and company policies;
-   Monitor and control loan activities of the Company, ensuring accurate reflection in the accounting records;
-   Prepare annual financial statements under IFRS and support statutory audits, including liaising with external auditors;
-   Compile periodic management accounts and regulatory reports to ensure compliance with local and sector-specific requirements;
-   Prepare corporate tax computations, VAT workings, and returns, ensuring timely submission and payment of all statutory obligations;
-   Monitor and ensure compliance of payroll, including social and other contributions;
-   Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and procedures.

## Requirements

-   3+ years' accounting experience in a brokerage / investment firm in a regulated financial-services environment;
-   Hands-on proficiency in 1C (the full accounting cycle is maintained there);
-   Experience with bank and broker account reconciliations, cash books and the monthly close;
-   Experience accounting for financial instruments held in own portfolio (securities - equities, ETFs, bonds);
-   Fixed-asset accounting: acquisition, transfer, disposal, depreciation schedules and asset valuation under accounting standards;
-   Experience accounting for loans / financing and reflecting them accurately;
-   Working knowledge of IFRS and experience supporting the preparation of financial statements and statutory audits (liaising with external auditors);
-   Experience compiling management accounts and regulatory reports;
-   Experience with corporate tax and VAT computations and returns;
-   Familiarity with payroll compliance and statutory contributions;
-   Working English.
