We're looking for a passionate **Site Health & Safety Manager** to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our Health & Safety programme at our site in **Ballybay, Monaghan**. This is a key leadership role, offering the opportunity to influence safety culture across a busy operational site while partnering with managers, employees, contractors, and senior stakeholders.

Reporting directly to the **Site Manager** and working closely with the **Group Health & Safety Team**, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

**Main Responsibilities:**

-   Develop, implement, and maintain Health & Safety policies, procedures, and management systems.
-   Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement effective control measures.
-   Support managers in embedding safe working practices across all operations.
-   Lead audits, inspections, incident investigations, and corrective action plans.
-   Deliver safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks for employees and contractors.
-   Monitor, analyse, and report on Health & Safety performance, KPIs, and compliance activities.
-   Chair site safety meetings and provide regular reports and recommendations to senior management.
-   Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with all legislative requirements.
-   Promote a positive safety culture through engagement, coaching, and behavioural safety initiatives.
-   Provide expert advice on occupational health, ergonomics, safe working practices, and equipment safety.

## Requirements

-   Diploma in Safety and Health from an University or equivalent IOSH qualification 
-   3+ years post qualification experience in health and safety ideally food and / or manufacturing environments 
-   Strong communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills  
-   Ability to identify continuous improvement initiatives
-   Strong IT sills and familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point and other common software tools 
-   A high level of attention to detail and accuracy 
-   Experience in a Training environment would be beneficial
