## Description

**💼 Bookkeeper (US Accounting and Payroll)
🌍 LatAm
🏠 Remote**

**About Our Client**

Our client is an AI-native global compliance platform built to replace the fragmented mix of EOR vendors, local law firms, point-solution tax tools, and spreadsheets that companies stitch together when they expand internationally. Their platform brings incorporation, entity management, indirect tax, transfer pricing, corporate tax, and accounting into a single system of record, with a conversational AI interface that lets finance and legal teams ask questions and execute compliance tasks in plain language. Trusted by companies operating across dozens of countries and SOC 2 Type II certified, they're positioning themselves as the operating infrastructure for any company running a global entity structure.

**About the Role**

We're looking for a **Bookkeeper** to own the US books, accounts payable and receivable, global payroll, and HR administration, reporting directly to the founder. You'll manage the full monthly accounting cycle in Puzzle, run vendor payments and expense compliance through Brex, handle invoicing and collections in Chargebee, process global payroll in Rippling, and support HR onboarding and offboarding across US and international employees.

This is a high-trust, high-ownership role covering both the financial and people operations side of a fast-moving global company. You won't be handing work off to a team. You are the person who owns it.

**Responsibilities**

- Own the US books in Puzzle, including transaction coding, monthly reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close
- Keep financial records accurate, organized, and current, closing the books on schedule each month
- Code and process vendor bills, and run weekly vendor payments to keep payables current
- Manage receipt and expense compliance through Brex, including coding, policy enforcement, and reconciliation
- Issue customer invoices through Chargebee, apply payments accurately, and follow up on outstanding invoices and collections
- Maintain accurate receivables records and keep aging current
- Process payroll for US and international employees in Rippling on schedule and without errors, ensuring compliance across jurisdictions and flagging issues proactively
- Coordinate with Finance on payroll-related accruals and reporting
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding, including system access, documentation, and record keeping
- Maintain current employee records across all systems, coordinate benefits administration, and support HR and payroll inquiries

**What We're Looking For**

- 3+ years of experience in full-cycle bookkeeping, AP/AR, or payroll, ideally supporting a US company
- Full-cycle bookkeeping experience, including reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close
- Payroll processing experience, with Rippling experience strongly preferred
- Professional English proficiency at C1 level or above, as you'll communicate directly with the founder and international employees
- Experience with accounting and finance tools; familiarity with Puzzle, Chargebee, Brex, or similar platforms is a strong plus
- Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable, with a zero-error standard on payroll and financial records
- Self-directed and comfortable owning multiple financial and HR workflows simultaneously without close oversight

**Nice to Have**

- Experience supporting a global or multi-entity company with employees across multiple countries
- Familiarity with Puzzle, Chargebee, or Brex specifically
- Background in a SaaS, technology, or high-growth startup environment
- Experience coordinating benefits administration for US employees

**Work Schedule**

- 100% remote setup so you can work wherever you're most productive
- This position operates on a full-time basis, with dedicated hours to ensure alignment with the team and delivery of quality work
- At least 6 hours of daily overlap with US Pacific Time

**Compensation & Time Off**

- Compensation paid in **USD**
- Paid **bi-monthly** on the 15th and 30th
- **Paid Time Off** according to company policy
- **Holidays** observed according to company guidelines

**Application Requirements**

Please submit:

- An updated resume
- A **1–2 minute Loom video** introducing yourself, describing your full-cycle bookkeeping and payroll experience, and walking through how you manage a month-end close from reconciliations through to final close

**Only candidates who submit a Loom video will be moved to the next step of the hiring process.**
