## Description

**This position requires extensive HVAC leadership experience and an active Virginia HVAC license. Candidates without HVAC industry management experience and the active license will not be considered.**

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic **General Manager** to lead and grow a high-performing HVAC organization in the Richmond/Ashland, VA market. This individual will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving financial performance, developing team members, and creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.

The ideal candidate is a proven leader who can unite teams, inspire performance, and implement operational best practices while delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role requires a strong HVAC background, business acumen, and the ability to effectively manage service, installation, sales, and administrative functions.

_**Key Responsibilities:**_

Leadership & Team Development

-   Provide strong leadership and direction to service, installation, sales, and administrative teams.
-   Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative company culture.
-   Develop and mentor managers, supervisors, and team members to achieve individual and organizational goals.
-   Lead team meetings, performance reviews, and ongoing coaching initiatives.
-   Drive employee engagement, retention, and professional development efforts.
-   Build alignment across departments and create a unified, customer-focused team environment.

Operational Management

-   Oversee all day-to-day HVAC operations, including service, maintenance, installation, and customer support.
-   Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational excellence.
-   Improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability through process optimization.
-   Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards.
-   Collaborate with department leaders to manage scheduling, staffing, inventory, and fleet operations.

Financial & Business Performance

-   Manage company budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
-   Analyze operational and financial data to drive strategic decision-making.
-   Monitor revenue, gross margin, labor efficiency, and overall profitability.
-   Develop and execute growth strategies to increase market share and customer retention.
-   Ensure achievement of company revenue and profitability goals.

Customer Experience

-   Champion a customer-first culture across all departments.
-   Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and effectively.
-   Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality.
-   Implement systems and processes that enhance the customer journey.

Technology & Systems

-   Utilize **ServiceTitan** to monitor business performance, reporting, scheduling, dispatching, and operational metrics.
-   Leverage data and reporting tools to identify opportunities for growth and operational improvements.
-   Drive adoption of technology and best practices throughout the organization.

**Pay:** $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

## Requirements

-   **Active Virginia HVAC License** (Required).
-   **5–10 years of progressive management experience** within the HVAC industry.
-   Proven experience leading multi-department HVAC operations, including service and installation teams.
-   Strong experience using **ServiceTitan** or similar HVAC service management software.
-   Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and unify teams toward common goals.
-   Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, P&Ls, and operational performance.
-   Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
-   Experience developing and implementing operational processes and performance metrics.
-   Must reside in or be willing to commute to the **Ashland/Richmond, VA area**.
