## Description

**Power BI Developer - Dynamics 365 F&O/ Fabric - 500 per day - Outside IR35 - London / Hybrid - 6 months**

I'm currently working with a London-based client who is embarking on a significant business transformation programme, implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) across its finance function.

As part of this programme, they are looking to engage an experienced Power BI Developer, on a 6 month contract, with hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience to design, develop and deliver a suite of reporting and data solutions that will support the transformation and provide meaningful financial insight to the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Power BI Developer who has previously worked with Dynamics 365 F&O and Microsoft Fabric and, importantly, has a strong track record of developing reporting solutions specifically for finance teams.

The role will require 3 days per week onsite at the clients London office.

**The Role**

You will work closely with finance stakeholders and the wider transformation team to understand reporting requirements, translate financial processes into meaningful data insights and develop high-quality Power BI dashboards and reports using Microsoft Fabric.

The role will be highly stakeholder-facing, so the ability to communicate effectively with finance professionals, understand their requirements and challenge where necessary will be essential.

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Design, develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to support the finance transformation programme.
-   Utilise Microsoft Fabric to develop and support data engineering, integration and reporting solutions.
-   Develop financial reporting solutions using data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
-   Work closely with finance stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate these into effective BI solutions.
-   Develop financial measures, calculations, KPIs and reporting logic.
-   Build reporting around financial dimensions, general ledger information and other relevant finance data.
-   Ensure financial reports provide accurate, meaningful and actionable insights.
-   Support the validation and reconciliation of financial data and reporting outputs.
-   Work collaboratively with the wider transformation team to ensure reporting solutions align with the new finance operating model.

**Essential Experience**

-   Proven experience as a Power BI Developer.
-   Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
-   Previous hands-on experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O).
-   Demonstrable experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards specifically for finance teams.
-   Strong understanding of financial reporting requirements and financial data structures.
-   Experience developing financial measures, calculations, KPIs and business logic within Power BI.
-   Understanding of financial dimensions, general ledger data and management reporting.
-   Experience working with data pipelines, data integration and data transformation within Microsoft Fabric.
-   Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with previous experience engaging directly with finance stakeholders.
-   Ability to translate complex financial requirements into clear, user-friendly reporting solutions.
