## Description

We are seeking an experienced **Consultant Visceral Surgeon** to join our leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in the surgical management of gastrointestinal and abdominal conditions, with strong experience in open and minimally invasive surgical procedures.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Diagnose and surgically manage complex gastrointestinal and abdominal conditions.
-   Perform elective and emergency visceral surgical procedures.
-   Manage conditions involving the stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, and other abdominal organs.
-   Perform laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgical procedures where appropriate.
-   Manage acute abdominal emergencies, including intestinal obstruction, perforation, and other complex surgical conditions.
-   Conduct comprehensive preoperative assessments and develop individualized surgical plans.
-   Provide postoperative care and monitor patient recovery.
-   Manage surgical complications and coordinate follow-up care.
-   Collaborate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, and other specialists.
-   Counsel patients and families regarding treatment options, surgical procedures, risks, and recovery.
-   Maintain accurate clinical and surgical documentation.

## Requirements

### Qualifications & Requirements

-   MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
-   MS/DNB or equivalent postgraduate qualification in **General Surgery / Visceral Surgery**.
-   Significant post-specialization experience at Consultant level.
-   Strong experience in gastrointestinal and abdominal surgery.
-   Experience in laparoscopic and minimally invasive procedures is an advantage.
-   Excellent surgical judgment, technical skills, and clinical decision-making abilities.
-   Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
