## Description

Serving the community since 1922, Yoakum Community Hospital is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital that blends state-of-the-art technology with compassionate, "small-town" care rooted in our R.I.S.E. core values. We are seeking a Radiologic & CT Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic procedures with minimal supervision. In this role, you will ensure patient safety and clinical excellence across multiple departments, including the Emergency Department, Surgery, ICU, and inpatient floors.

**Special Scheduling:** Must be available for shifts outside scheduled shift, including but not limited to nights/weekends/ holidays. Position may require a rotating call schedule.

**As a Radiology Technologist with us, you will:**

-   Perform X-ray and CT exams according to established protocols; adjust equipment controls (voltage, current, time) and use immobilization devices to capture optimum views.
-   Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety; monitor patient comfort via intercom or direct observation; and administer contrast media as directed.
-   Practice A.L.A.R.A. (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) techniques; ensure pediatric-specific techniques are used; and maintain compliance with state/federal regulations.
-   Manage orders within the RIS/PACS systems; verify patient data (Name/DOB/Laterality); and utilize DICOM send to deliver images to Radiologists for interpretation.
-   Work cooperatively with all hospital staff, reflecting the hospital’s R.I.S.E. core values and maintaining professional interpersonal relationships.
-   Perform CT warm-ups and QA; document contrast incubator temperatures; and maintain the security of emergency medicine cabinets.

## Requirements

-   Associate’s Degree (A.A.) in Radiologic Technology OR Graduate of an accredited school of radiation sciences.
-   Must be licensed as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) with the Texas Medical Board.
-   Must be registered with the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or eligible.
-   Current CPR certification required.
-   6 months to 1 year of related experience/training is preferred; CT experience is highly preferred.
