## Description

The production quality control technician’s primary responsibility is to oversee and manage the daily operations of testing and start-up of new balers, ensuring smooth workflow, adherence to quality standards, and timely completion of tasks. This involves allocating tasks, monitoring progress, addressing issues, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity. Must have good troubleshooting skills, be able to multi-task, read blueprints, know weld symbols, have good attention to detail, and document inspection results.

## Requirements

·         Assist with start-up of new balers on site at Harris American, fill out Quality Control Checklist and ensure that all necessary steps have been taken to verify a baler is ready to ship after it has been built and tested.

·         Assure all bale tables, hopper extensions, wire stands, and extras are available as per sales order prior to shipment.

·         Document serial numbers for components and submit to service manager.

·         Complete baler engineering file for each baler and submit it to the service manager after shipment.

 ·         Take digital photos of the balers ready for shipment and upload them to computer file. Pictures to include the truck and trailer and complete the shipping checklist.

·         Follow up with necessary support when issues are present to allow the baler to pass inspection.

·         Provide required information and parts with baler prior to shipping for installation, including installation package and manual if it is ready.

·         Work as a liaison between production, engineering, and service to provide feedback on performance concerns, and assist in making improvements to future baler performance.

·         Attend Service Trip Report meetings for direct feedback from on-site service visits and help communicate concerns with production.

·         Work on plant wide quality control to resolve common occurrences of field failures as well as internal challenges that result in rework, scrap, etc.

·         Other QC tasks as defined by MGMT.
