## Description

**Purpose:** To drive for a proactive Safety First culture, ensure regulatory and corporate compliance excellence and develop safety competency across the organization, to promote operational safety through audits and Inspections, drive safety performance and continuous Improvement, strengthen emergency preparedness and business resilience, advise management on strategic safety matters.

**Key areas of responsibilities:**

-   Drive Safety First culture by promoting WSH ownership and safe work practices across the organization.
-   Implement HSE policies and programs that support compliance, operational excellence, and a zero-harm workplace.
-   Ensure compliance with WSH legislation, industry standards, customer requirements, and corporate policies.
-   Lead risk management activities, including hazard identification, risk assessments, and implementation of effective control measures.
-   Develop safety competency through training, toolbox talks, awareness initiatives, and employee engagement programs.
-   Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and safety observations, ensuring timely closure of findings and corrective actions.
-   Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
-   Monitor and report safety performance, including KPIs, trends, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
-   Manage emergency preparedness programs, including response plans, drills, and crisis management activities.
-   Support safety governance and stakeholder engagement by coordinating Safety Committee activities, managing external audits, and driving continual improvement of ISO, RBA, and integrated management systems.

## Requirements

-   Diploma/ Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or other relevant discipline.
-   Minimum 5 years of experience as safety officer in manufacturing environment.
-   Must be a Ministry of Manpower registered Safety officer and SCDF registered Fire Safety Manager.
-   Proficient knowledge of WSHE legislation and regulations, as well as ISO audit processes.
-   Strong communication skills, ability to work as a team player, and capability to work independently.
-   Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
