### **What You’ll Do**

-   Teach hands-on and classroom instruction in haircutting, shaving, safety, sanitation, and client service.
-   Prepare lesson plans and guide students through both state curriculum and real-world salon practices.
-   Model professionalism, ethics, and accountability every day.
-   Ensure compliance with **New Mexico Board of Barbers and Cosmetologists** regulations.
-   Foster a trauma-informed, inclusive, and recovery-supportive learning environment.
-   Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and student evaluations.
-   Participate in program meetings, curriculum reviews, and professional development.

## Requirements

### **What You’ll Bring**

-   **Active New Mexico Barber Instructor License** (required).
-   **Three or more years of professional barbering experience**.
-   Prior teaching or training experience preferred.
-   Compassion, communication skills, and a passion for helping others succeed.
-   Familiarity with trauma-informed or recovery-oriented education is a plus.
